Today, I decided to do an interview with one of my closest friends Andrea Castro. Andrea is a junior Women and Gender’s Study major at St. Edward’s University in Austin, TX. So the way this is going to work is I’m going to list out the questions I asked her, and then the corresponding responses after. I formatted the game in the form of “would you rather” just to make it more interesting and fun! (That way she would actually want to play and not be held there against her will) Okay, so here we go! These are the questions:
1. Would you rather live in a country where everyone has equal tax cuts or in a country where taxes are based on income?
Answer: I think taxation should reflect fairly upon all citizens. I think those who need help should be given help because that’s the humane thing to do. I don’t think that all people are deserving, but why should those who are suffer for those who aren’t? The rich have money to last them a lifetime. Sharing is caring, people.
2. Would you rather be aware of the sugar intake of your food products or blindly eat the food you want regardless of the labeling?
Answer: I would definitely want to know what I’m eating. I’m cautious about my diet because my family doesn’t have the best genes with disease. If I choose to buy a product, I’m trusting that company to tell me the entire truth of what is going into my body. I’m entitled to it. There’s no question about it.
3. Would you rather be paid $10.50 at McDonald’s or $7.25 as an office clerk?
Answer: Honestly, I would hate to say this, but I would work at McDonald’s. There is no way I can live a happy, promising, and comfortable life on a wage of $7.25. So even if I have to sacrifice my pride, I will take McDonald’s over a nice office. And this all comes down to the minimum wage standards being so skewed.
4. Would you rather have a female president that is insufficient or a male president who is overly arrogant? (This is a personality test)
Answer: The feminist woman in me would want to have a female president regardless, but if it’s in the worst interest of the nation, there’s nothing wrong with having a male president. History can be made later–with a better candidate. This country needs a leader that can execute what they promise and listen to what the people want. If the female can’t provide us with that, we’re going to vote for the male.
THE RESULTS: ANDREA CASTRO SHOULD VOTE FOR HILLARY CLINTON.
